amayeu's tank - seeing double

Oh, my flasher passed away. RIP. What a bummer. First saltwater fish that died on me, well... I did flush a healthy lionfish down the tubes about 11 years. I was young immature irresponsible when moving out of my apartment.

After the flasher was in my tank for a week I noticed white spots, and thought it was ich. Did a 2 minute fresh water dip and it was a goner the next morning.

RIP ... name: FLASH

Sorry you lost the flasher Micheal. From that pic he looked like he had been beat up a bit before you got it. Tail looked a little chewed. Still was a nice fish. I have tried them in the past but flashers and fairy wrasses seem to want to fly on me. Lost three to jumping.

I'm not a fan of caps either, but you're right, that one has an amazing shape and color. Congrats on the pick up!
Thanks and greetings.

The LFS had a few. This one was not hiding and ate when fed. Noticed the beat up tail but felt was healthy.
Sorry to hear that Mike.

Thx, Ben.

All those pieces of rubble on your frag rack, did you make or buy those and if you bought them where from? All I've been able to find are plastic plugs >.> those look much more natural :)

Nice looking tank amay, keep up the good reefing!

Mark, you found me from Jersey... LOL

Beautiful!

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!

Ben also asked me the same question. I was searching for plugs and came across someone in Colorado that was taking a break from the hobby. These are homemade. I think I got a couple hundred for about 20 bucks. He does not have anymore, as he gave me everything he had.

PM to coordinate on the next meeting. I can give you a dozen or so. I do not have any more white left, and mostly all that grey color.

+1. The tubbs blues are doing great BTW! Thanks again!

No problem.

Definitely take you up on that. I wonder what materials are in those, shouldn't be too hard to make a batch.

They are cured Agrocrete. You will have to place in a cup of RO water for a day before putting in your tank. We can coordinate before the next meeting.

Best,
Mike

Been a month since the last post. Happy 4th.

Pulled out my rbta out of display b/c it was getting bigger and in the path of my sps frags. Tried the ice trick but ultimately scraped the foot off the rock with side of my tweezers. I would not recommnend.

Mike everything is looking Great! What kind of cleanup crew are you using? Hermits, Nasarrius, others?
BTW does your RBTA move as much as mine does?

Been awhile

Been awhile

Still lurking... This summer has been extremely busy. I have to admit the neglect in my tank. Weekly water changes have turned to every two weeks. The time to observe the little details have caused me to lose my RBTA to a powerhead and weird melt of 30+ polyps of purple hornets. Good thing I had a spare 2 polyp frag lurking around. Thinking of an upgrade to get the inspiration again.

Here are some photos....
