amazing fishfood!

Thought I'd share - I've had this fishfood sitting in my fridge since we moved here...I got it at some club event when I was still in Idaho so I decided to use it starting last week to see how the tank reacted to it. It's called Sweetwater Zooplankton. You really only need a TINY amount because it spreads everywhere and very quickly at that. But, as soon as I put it in the tank the fish went crazy for it (more so than they do for the homemade stuff I feed too) and instantly all my LSP swelled up and had tentacles out searching for it and all my SPS had their polyps extended (some of which I'd never even seen extend before). I'd say it was only a marginal effect on my softies but the LPS and SPS were loving it.

I've been feeding it about every other day, alternating it w/ my homemade stuff so I know that they're not extending simply b/c they're starving. Have been feeding for just over a week now...I wanted to make sure that it wasn't an effect I was only going to have one time and then be disappointed w/ the results in a few days before saying something. I don't know if anyone in the area carries the stuff but it's absolutely amazing!

I don't think I've ever seen it carried in a fish store...not anywhere I've ever travelled to anyhow...in fact, I think I won mine from an IMAS raffle

I have been using this for over 8mo. My fish all love it too. I did feed it first then the frozen, flake etc. Now I just mix it all together with some pellet, vitamins and bloodworns and they never seem shy about eating!;)

Petco does for sure. I have used. I know my stuff reacted the same way. My Fish weregoing crazy over it. Has such a funny smell to it too.

I had been alternating this stuff every other day w/ my homemade stuff and when I feed this stuff I put just a pinch on the end of a spoon. The stuff spreads like crazy. Which is why a single jar lasts forever

I'll check for it in the south Petco.

Speaking of Petco, they got a pink tail trigger this week. It's either $30 or $40. There doesn't seem to be a consistent opinion as to whether it's ok in a reef tank, but with all the crabs and snails I'm getting, my guess is that it would be a smorgasbord for him.

The micro is doing good. I still have not decided where I am going to put it yet so its just on the sandbed for now. Are you ready for that Tenius yet?
