Amazing what switching to Radiums can do (before and after)

Sahin, I didn't mean to come off smug, there...
I meant nice purchase on the Giesemann. Only after rereading my post did I realize it seemed like I was making light (pardon the pun!) of your Radion purchase..
We all have bought and been disappointed with hobby equipment... Took me 2 years to finally sell my 3 Mitras... My 2 Radion G3s, I sold with ease..
I've owned my share of Giesemann lights and they are very nice.

Matt, your post was fine. I didn't take it your post in that way at all. I just wanted to explain that because I didn't want anyone reading my posts to feel I am posting a negative view of them. They are very decent lights and if I wasn't so bloody particular I wouldn't be switching right now.

And yes, the Giesemann Spectra is a smashing unit. Can't wait to pick it up on Tuesday.

I think you will be very happy with the G-mann. I had the same fixture a few years ago over a 120 and it was the Acro bomb! I tried LED on my current 250 but I couldn't make it work, my observations pretty much the same as yours. Switched to Radiums and T5 with LED supplements and life is good  Do you have a plan to mitigate the heat generated by the 400's?

Given my love and admiration for the Radium here's a couple of before and after's.
Firetruck about two years ago under led's, when it was in it's prime:

And now, much smaller due to some mishaps when restarting the tank but I prefer the red and can't wait for a little more size to get going!

I was running radiums, and just switched to an ATI 80x8. My sps exploded. It's really weird. But my lighting LOOKS like my radium lit tank.

I'm going to be running the radiums on my frag system. They really are amazing.

What tube combo are you using to get the radium look?
