American Marine Pinpoint PH Controller

Can someone please explain to me in Laymen terms how to set the setpoints on this controller so my Calcium Ractor's Solenoid is turned at the right point and more importantly turned off at the right point?

Tried reading the user manual but I must be really illiterate in this area.

Thank you

its been a while since i used one of those but from what i remember, you must calibrate the probe first, you do this by using a 7.01 & 4.01 solutions (for CR use), follow the calibration instructions.
Once you are sure that the probe works and that its calibrated, you will need to adjust the higher and lower ph parameters on the controller so that it stops the co2 and gets it going again by means of the ph reading.
Normally you can set it at around ph6.5 as your "center value" and you can set the range to -/+ .3 so that the controller sits off the solenoid at 6.2 and turns it back on at 6.8.
the probe of the controller needs to be measuring the effluent (output) of the reactor or main chamber.

Thanks Roger. Yeah, I got the basics of all of what you said. RIght now I'm not even playing with the Reactor, just trying to make sure I got the setpoint understood and can set range as desired before I attempt the reactor. I have Reefkeeper Elite Plus on the way but I'm not sure I totally trust it for monitoring the Calcium reactor. My struggle with the AM controller is that you have to switch between and High and Low but then which one do you set the Range or the Center Value? In the instructions it says you don't set the center value, in another part of the instruction it says change the center value. Think I might call them later to see if they can explain it to me.
