Ammonia Badge!!

Cheapest longest lasting item that has saved my fish the most often. Accurate to low levels, reusable, survived formalin and other QT procedures. Love them.
Best $10-15 you can spend, I keep them in every container that has a fish, makes things idiot proof. Combine with Amquel or Prime in a bind, will save many fish lives.

How do they work when combined with Prime? Does the ammonia still register (like it does on many ammonia tests)? I have thought about putting these on my QT tanks, but always conclude that I don't even want the tanks to ever get a detectable level of ammonia, and so I stick to huge water changes plus adding Prime after the second or third day in the tank. If these could detect creeping levels of ammonia even after Prime that would be useful, but I don't think they do?

I used Amquel instead of Prime, noticed after the addition it always showed a low amount ammonia. It does bind the ammonia, but triggers the badge.

After few days time and water changes it returns to normal. Amquel doesn't linger very long. The badge doesn't get damaged or anything. I use it as an early warning for ammonia, not very useful after Prime.
