Ammonia levels during cycling..

I'm on day 3 with cycling/curing with LR and LS and my ammonia is sky high (>8ppm) .. should I care? Water changes? Or does it not matter at all and will just be taken care of by the bacteria once they show up?

Water changes.

I'd do some water changes to try to limit damage to the animal population on the live rock, but the tank eventually will reach zero ammonia with or without changes. If the changes seem like to much work, don't do them.
