Ammonia PPM ?

Can anyone tell me how to convert the "Instant Ocean" ammonia test results into a "Parts Per Million" reading?
Richard's instructions for cycling lists PPM, but I use the Instant Ocean kit that reads 0 to 0.8 mg per l .

I'm at 0.4mg/l, which I suspect is too high.

Does the Salifert kit run PPM readings?

Happy Turkey, everyone

Hi:

the unit of measure is "1 mg/L = 1ppm" so if you are at 0.4 mg/L you are at 0.4 ppm.

I have a Red Sea test kit that uses a color comparative chart that refers to ppm.

So... That test kit would not show when I exceed 1PPM,
only that I'm nearing 1PPM.

Thanks!

Exactly right. Your kit will only go to a little below 1 ppm (.8 ppm).
