amphipods

I have amphipods crawling on my zoas, now they arent oppening its been a couple of days and i obviously im worried about them. I have nothing to dip them in and none of the lfs carry anything like that so what can i do, also im in okinawa, and cant just overnight things without huge shipping fees.

I had a huge population of pods that I suspected of causing zoa problems. I got a melanarus wrasse and he is a fantastic pod hunter and eater. I'm feeling a bit better knowing he is always on the hunt.

nothing goes in my dt without at least 4 weeks in qt, so thats not really going to work... could i put them in my qt, i have t5ho's over it. would the lack of anything to eat kill off the population or would the just start to eat my zoas?

about 20 heads out of approx 140-150 open up, not fully though... would they "feed" the others if i fed those ones?

You said that they are closed but they are not being eaten. Could they simply be crawling over the zoas and finding other food and the zoas are reacting to the physical touches of them?

You could also take the rock out and let it dry for a few minutes, do a WC on your tank and with the waste water put the rock in and shake it to dislodge the amphipods.

i dont think theyre being eaten, but if i put the zoas in my qt, would they ill try the shakin thing though sounds like an easy start.
