Amphiprion akindynos - wild pair video

Got these beauties last week. Wild caught mated pair. They were okay in the tank with my percs but started showing signs of aggression towards the percs....Waiting on gig for my percs, separated them just for caution. They should be okay once I get my gig. Gig will be placed in the middle column in centre of tank.

Very nice pair. I have had a pair myself for quite a few years now. I would make sure you put the gig out of the sight line of the akindynos. Mine are a bit territorial. Genetic testing has put them in the tomato clown group instead of the clarki group, so consider that when you try to keep them together with the percs, especially when they start breeding.

Phender - yes, understood. I kept a pair of Fiji Tomato Clowns (one end of a 4ft tank) and a pair of percs at the other end of the tank years ago and they were fine but I get that every situation is different and one should tread with caution, especially with quite a big robust female and sizable male (female 5 times the size of the percs). Fingers crossed! MM
