Does anybody have a link they can post for me to see a picture of a fish with this disease, and also some information to eradicate it?

Thanks.

photos of this infection are not too easy to come by.
here is one of a clown loach.

Hi Triggerfish. Thanks for the picture. My fish looks like that somewhat, but I wonder if it could be bacterial. I'm treating him for bacterial infection right now in a hospital tank and he seems to be improving. I don't think he has ich, because he came from my main tank, which has a blue tang, which most certainly would have ich too if it was there. I used hyposalinity successfully to iradicate ich from my main system about six months ago, and no fish has shown signs of it since (keeping my fingers crossed).

I read your entire thread on ich and learned a lot from it. How have you done in getting rid of ich in your tank?

i believe if it was velvet and not treated immediately, the fish would stand little chance of recovering. fresh dips and copper i think are two methods.

i agree if you have a hippo that shows no signs over time,,chances are great that your system is free from c.irritans.
in fact, if it was velvet and no other fish have symptoms, then you're probably not dealing with that either.

without a pic,,tough to help diagnose.

my tank is going through a lengthy fallow period right now to make sure.
