I joined WTMRAC last July after coming to Memphis temporarily/semi-long term imo about 11 months ago. Even though I haven't been all that active on y'all's forum and only made it to one meeting (I think, in Feb) due to work schedule and weekend responsibilities, I wanted to say a big thanks to all fellow reefers I've encountered in this area. But my stay here is over. Off to East Tenn I am. I'm moving to Chattanooga this weekend. Maybe I'll be there long enough to have a tank again and I can find as many deals there as I did here. I hope their club is as friendly and open as this one. I also hope the general public friendly and less reserved than that here. I will not hesitate to say I have not enjoyed my overall stay in/around Memphis. If I did not love my job, I would have moved probably after about 2 months. Anyway, I must pack now, but wanted to let anyone who might notice know. I know many will ask "who is this guy?" and that's ok. Just close and forget.

You'll be fine in East Tn. I can't speak to the attitudes of people there other than those in ETRC, but ETRC has a good group of people. MTRC members keep moving out east... Sorry you didn't like Memphis. I grew up near there, so I guess I was used to (and likely part of) the attitudes, etc. Just moved from Nashville to Montgomery (aside from Oxford, Ms, Nashville was my favorite place to live so far) and have to say I'm not feeling the love here from the locals, so it may just be a relativity thing...
