and the setup begins!!

You dont really want to be putting 2 light fixtures on a tank. Try find a 72" fixture. I'll do a google.

If you just make sure you can fit reactors, skimmers, pumps etc in the sump it will be fine. 20gal fuge is a good size. 10% of the tank size is recommended for fuge's so you will have enough filtration.

ok well the way my stand is set up i will have two 20 gallon tanks one will be sump and one will be fuge

should be ok the capn has seperate sump and fudge, there is a link somewhere

I've always ran 2x Phosban reactors. One with carbon and on with GFO along with my fuge. The Fuge IMO gets rid of all the nutrients such as nitrate and nitrit where as the GFO will control Po4 and the carbon will help control algae blooms and other "crud" entering the water.

how much sand?

In the tank it is up to you, whatever you think looks best. In the Fuge, I always like to have a good 6" DSB so you have enough for burrowing critters, mangroves etc.

the skimmer should be fine for now until you increase your bio load.

I would recomment drilling the tank as well...

Your skimmer should always be rated for double the size of your tank. That way it gives you adequate skimming and if you ever upgrade you dont have to buy a new one.

ok well how much is it to drill? and i dont really understand how to set up my sump and fuge that article didnt show many pictures on what goes where what how to set up the tubes and where to put the pumps could someone draw me a picture im a visual learner

If you talk to a local aquarium dealer or glass speciailist they might drill it for you if not you can drill it easily yourself with a diamond drill bit. Take a look at some of the builds on here.

should i put an offer of like 400 or 450 on it? and use it for live rock and one pair of lights? then sell the tank and stand so that in total i really spent only like 150-200 dollars for 135 pounds of live rock a heater good lights or just buy new stuff?

ok so forget that. i decided on my pumps. now i need a sump/fuge design i have two places for tanks each is just big enough for a 20 gallon tank. so i figured one would be sump one fuge.... anyone got some designs? the tanks would be about 3-4 feet apart and i figured i would connect them from behind with tubing or pvc. your help please!!!!
