And the temp continues to rise

Ok I have a mainly SPS tank and the temp is 86!! This is probaly way to hot correct? And is it normal at those temps for there PE to be horriable? The chiller just kicked the bucket and my parents dont know how to turn the temp down and when they do the AC doesnt work in my room! So im floating ice in there at the moment. Its a 180 gallon tank so its hard to cool down once its hot. Any tips, ideas or thoughts would be great. Thanks!

Haha....Got that going to! And the temp just wont drop. And I dont even have a heater. Its went down .7 deg. with 2 large bags of ice lol

Turn off all of your lights if they are still on.

Fans blowing across the top of my 120 are all that cools mine and I have a 50g sump in my 100* garage. Even when I had halides it was no problem to keep at 77, something's not right.

run the lights later in the day or at night if possible. fans, depending on the worth of your livestock a $100 window shaker.

fans do wonders, but can only go so far if the room is too hot.

Something isnt right. We been getting high 90's in San Jose CA. My tank is in the garage with halides in a closed canopy and one 6in fan blowing. Keeps it 78 no problem.

My halides are set to turn on at noon and shutdown by 8PM. Try another Thermometer. I use 3 incase one goes bad.
