Anderson Family Reef - 1200 Gallon System

milonedp - Thanks for the tip! I have tried that in the past as well. Good idea.

ilovetang - I have two barrels each one is 100 gallons, one of salt water and the other of RO/DI. The salt water one is a flow through from the main display and connected to the house drain. I can take the tank offline with the closing of a valve then open another valve on the bottom and drain 100 gallons of old salt water in just a few minutes. I then transfer the RO/DI water to the tank on the left for mixing the new salt water. After the water is mixed I then open the valve and flow the display water back through flushing the new salt water through the system.

FishSticks86 - I can do a 100 gallon water change in less that 20 minutes. Its not too bad.

I love the fish food feeder, I've been thinking of doing something similar for my new tank, does that tube come off or is it always in the tank? I've been trying to think of some way to raise and lower it so its not always in the water but easy enough to drop in so my wife or kids (when they grow up) could just drop it down and put in some food.

The rest of the pictures are just amazing.

milonedp - Thanks for the props. This one is in there for good. I will add an automatic fish feeder soon above it that will drop pellets into the circle a few times a day. I suppose you could easily make it removable with a different type of mounting bracket.

Katis - Thank you!

fishmanstan - Thank you! I don't at this time because I value my clean up crew but I almost added one with the last fish change. A small one :twitch:
