Thank you! This stuff is fun stuff! :dance:Tank is looking amazing as always!
Wow what an amazing tank. Glad to see you have auch great success. Amazing growth too.
I have to ask about your sump. I think I commented on it earlier, I looked back saw some pictures. Saw the "pre-tank" pictures which gave me a much clearer picture. But is your sump just one area (that's gated/grated off) where water drops into (and into filter socks) then two paths right & left for water to go down, but then at the end there's a pipe cover and the water is piped.... to another sump? Or just the skimmer & return pumps?
I'm asking because I'm rolling through various ideas for my sump...which is 8 feet long by 3 feet wide.
I love watching videos of your tank. The fish seem so happy. Thanks for posting them.
I love all the livestock you have in there and all the action going on. The one thing I love about large tanks is seeing the fish swimming so freely around and having so much space to roam around in, so many areas to go and explore.
When you think of what they came from only to end up in a small tank is sad. You are providing a great environment for them and I applaud you.
Lastly, thanks for keeping your thread updated with pics and videos. There are a lot of big tank threads that no longer get updated on a regular basis. Do you ever think you will add a live webcam feed?
Gotcha... your pumps are hidden somewhere else (less noise I'm guessing) and your skimmer probably couldn't fit under the tank.That's correct, really just a pass through and holding area for lots of live rock and non reef safe must have fish. Provides an area for filter components if needed. Water drains into the filter socks and passes through the live rock then through a bubble trap and on to the pump intakes. I have two pump,intakes at that end, one goes to the skimmer, frag tank/fish room reactors and the other turns over the tank. Keeping it simple.
No pictures except in my mind. I'm still a lot of construction/demo/wiring/reflooring away from having the tank much less on a stand and I dislike really long build threads that don't actually do anything (which is what my thread would beYour sump sounds awesome!!! Love the size!!! :dance: do you have pictures of it up on RC?
I love seeing the natural grazing behavior of the tangs and the care free demeanor of the fish in this large tank!
Thanks for your support. It does encourage me to keep up the thread knowing you and others enjoy watching the progress!!!
:fish1::thumbsup::thumbsup::fish1:
I have a live webcam streaming to my phone where I can see the fish feeding when I feed them remotely from my apex and super feeder!!! Do your have the live cams app on your device?
Nice to see a different look with natural light.
I am not sure how I have missed this thread for the last year and a half, but this is a really nice set up! Thanks for taking the time to document!
