Anderson Family Reef - 1200 Gallon System

Simply stunning. Just read through the entire thread for a second time and did the same with Danfeig's and Worm's thread as I attempt to patiently wait for my rock to cure and for the contractor to start work on my den and fish room. (I blame all of you, by the way, for even trying this.....I've already accused Danfeig of corrupting me but I've now decided it was a group effort). :lmao:

The great thing is so many people here show what can be accomplished through various methods. Plus, I've learned so much in this thread. Your fish room has given me some great ideas. Unfortunately, my wife has seen your dt pictures. Expectations are high. But, my dt will only be 187g (110g sump and 45g fuge for starters....expansion by volume in the fish room to come later). That's a veritable nano compared to what I've seen around here. But, I plan on having a lot more tanks in the fish room simply for my enjoyment and your setup has offered some great ideas concerning future expansions. Keep up the good work.

Splendid work sir. It is good to see that SLC has high quality reefs to go along with the best skiing in the US. Keep up the strong efforts.

Thanks for the kind words! I believe the same thing that it takes a reefing community to have a successful aquarium. You have the right friends to lean on buddy! Those reefers are some if the best!

Speed that rock up! Lets get your tank started! :bounce3:

I'm sure your system will be awesome!!!

That's cool you plan on adding tanks to your fish room! I really enjoy the frag tank in the fish room and love having a place to tinker...

Please feel free to check in with me when you have any questions. I'm happy to share what I have learned over the years!

Wow, sick frag tank! Looks great compared to before and your fish room is awesome!

I love this frag tank due to the footprint, depth and ease of use! I have a goal to just have tons of frags all growing out in there by species one day. Thanks for your kind words!

Thank you! Yea buddy! We love our snow, skiing and our ancient lake bonneville. Oh and our sweet reefs!
Thanks for your feedback!!

Water test helpers!

Water test helpers!

This is one of my favorite things to do with this family hobby. Water test day! My daughter has her own notebook and copies down the parameters following my testing. The little man has grown out of throwing stuff in the sump and is now happy to sip his beverage, watch the water test and be a part of caring for the eelie's tank.

Glad you have got the family involved too.

If you look at my camera you will see my boys down there staring at it sometimes. (hahahaha)

That's awesome! My webcam is close to the tank so I cant see them but I can hear the kiddos playing minecraft in the room next to the tank! I too love catching the kids staring at the tank! Good stuff right there! ;):fish1::fish1::fish1:
