Anemone Acclimation

I just got a green bubble tip anemone in the mail today. I've been aclimating it for the past 1.5 hours. Is the Anemone supose to look deflated and a little dead (it is not bleached looking and is attached to my bucket) during the drip aclimation?

It just sounds a little mad. Get it in the tank and let it settle in. Attaching to the bucket and lack of bleaching is a good sign.

Thanks the problem I see is going to be trying to get him let go of the bucket :)

Also how long should the acclimation be its benn in the bucket sence 12:30

You should be plenty good for time. How exactly are you acclimating? If you are dripping into a bucket for that long be careful that your temperature is still up. It's easy for buckets to loose considerable heat over that long.

To get him to let go, take a credit card and use it to carefully scrape underneath his foot. Also make sure you protect your powerheads so he doesn't get chopped up.

I'm dripping it in a bucket. So I can put him in now? How Can I protct my powerheads, I have some filter media bags should I wrap tham around my powerheads?

Those will work for now, but will probably cut down a bit on flow. There's a few DIY options. 1) get that porous foam meant for gutters, and carve out a large gaurd, 2) go to your local craft store and fashion a guard out of black plastic mesh.
