Anemone and Clown and... Nothing?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if one can have a tank setup with just well, the tank, the Clownfish and an anemone?

No live rock, maybe sand (minimal).

A species tank for GSM as an example, make a great and interesting tank. However like rock is desirable/essential both biologically and esthetically.

Would having a good filtration setup help? I.e. a decent filter + marine pure + whatever else necessary.

I am thinking of setting up like a breeding tank, and so don't want rocks or anything for fish to hide in (which will be hard to deal with later on).

Clowns don't really hide from my experience, and in fact having a rock under their nem makes for very easy collection of that rock w/ eggs on it when they need to be pulled.
I agree, LR IS your main source of filtration in most cases, unless you are tied in to another tank w/ rock.
Some types of nems are rock dwellars as well, so keep that in mind too.
