Anemone burying foot

I recently upgraded from a 120 to a 180 with actual refugium (40g) instead of the Fx5's I had providing any filtering.

After cycling and stablizing and seeding from the existing and moving rock over to seed more.. and more (well you get the point)

I moved anemone Sat morning.

Here is a video about 20 minutes after I placed him in that spot. He instantly started to plant. If you look at his foot you can see him inflate and deflate moving sand as he went.

Actually he was pretty easy to get off the bottom glass. Just took a while and I just did slow messagaeing of his foot (WHILE GETTING NIPPED BEAT SWATTED AND RAMMED by "his" clown.. hahaha) (I really wish I would have recorded his actions. He was not happy with me, after a while he would just come up to me and lay against my had while I got the anemone released. He was prob tired.)

Here is the video:

Ohh switch it to High Def and make it full screen to see the foot details better.

Here is a one from today. It is deff much happier... The clown hides behind that rock, he is camera shy. Still puffing up and getting lower.

I know you are not supposed to feed them for the first few days. I figured I would try it with a smaller size than he normally ate (he was very sticky during the whole move too) and he did good. It took him about 10 minutes to move it to his mouth... but normally he would have kicked it out if he did not want it. Granted he did not collapse around it and retreat, I think that is because it's foot is not planted all the way down yet.

Also if you look at the glass, where the dark shadow/holes are, you can see HUNDREDS of copepods running around. They should look slightly out of focus and look like micro bubbles but moving a lot slower.

I zoomed in on them with my camera wow... There are a lot... that is good though!
