anemone feeding tool

-ok my tank depth is such that I really don't like reaching all the way in to feed shrimp pieces to my bubble tips
-of course I know not to use something sharp that could injure my anemones
-I have gripper style hand held unit but my fear is that I end up with some type of bacteria in the tong ends and then introduce it to the anemones

-what do you guys/gals use?

I use these gripper to feed the pieces i can grip. For mysis n other froozen cube food i made my own feeding tube using a turkey bastor and a clear tubing n cut to the length i want.

as long as you clean it it's really a non-issue. if you're that paranoid about it just bleach it then rinse it well and let it dry. Any object you use is going to have the same potential one is no different than another.

I generally use tubing zip tied on a long plastic dowel, with a large feeding syringe for target feeding. for extra large chunks like whole shrimp/krill I just use tongs. with your tank being deep the gripper wand is great for that.

that is what I worry about, maybe that is the best thing do a bleach rinse to ease my fears, am I paranoid, is everyone else doing this or should I not be concerned?
