Anemone foot damage

I pcked up a gbta the other day and gave it a good check, or so I thought.
I had it in a tank where i had kept another bta which was happy for six months and never moved until I moved it out to another larger setup.

The new nem has been wondering for the first couple of days as I expected It has eaten some sushi grade tuna but wont bury its foot in any of the inviting crevices I have made in the LR.
I noticed last night a slight scar on its foot that looked like it was healing, it hasnot deflated at all once and is perched high up like a h. mag would with its foot fully exposed do you thing this is due to the recovery process i.e the foot needing good circulation around it to heal fully?

the damage i noticed is on the left of th foot it is definatly healing not a fresh wound.
it ate some squid today as well the current in the tank is quite high, do you tink I should drop it alittle to help? its a seio 820 3200lph(seems like alot I know) in a 29 gall flowing along the back wall and thers a small hang on and a prism skimmer

I'm not sure changing the water flow is necessary. I guess you could subdue it a little if you think it's hampering the anemone's recovery. From what I can see here though it looks like it's doing OK though. Hopefully it should continue.

In my limited experience with foot damage on BTA's, I've seen them recover in time. So long as the anemone was healthy beforehand and the damage not too severe I think it will be OK in the end.

Looking at the last pic, if the flow is bending it over like that, I would redierct the flow a little away from it. They like a moderate flow, but that seems quite high.

I reduced the flow to low the nem is stretched out this morning the oral disc and tentacles are full size but the column is thin and stretched it has not moved in 48 hrs now but doesnot look great or right. suppose time will tell. shall i keep feeding ? a small amount daily?
