Hi, first off all thanks for your time to read this.
I have a new aquarium and I will just put a photo of it:

Aquarium:
130cm X 60xm X 55cm = 430L / 114Gallon
Sump:
75cm x 40cm x 35cm = 105L / 28Gallon

Ligh:
8 x 54W T5

Watter flow:
Return pump: Ocean runner 3500 l/h
Stream pumps: SunSun 5000 l/h + Tunze 6045 4500 l/h
Power head: Aquaclear 1200 l/h

Water values today:
NO2- 0
NO3 - 1 to 2.5 mg/l
PH- 8.2
KH- 9
Ca- 420
Mg-1080
Salinity- 1.025
Temperature- 25 ºC

I was think in get 2X ocellaris + 2x ocellaris B&W

So now I want an anenome, but I don't know what anenome to get to my layout.
So:
1- Should I get 1 or 2 anenome to those 2 pairs of ocellaris. (I was thinking in only get 1 anenome)
2- What anenome should do best in my layout.
3- I was thinking on:
Entacmaea quadricolor
Macrodactyla doreensis LT
Stichodactyla haddoni
Stichodactyla gigantea
Heteractis magnifica
But I think I prefer the gigantea or the haddoni.
4- My concern is that they became way big or they move a lot arround.
5- I was thinking on a soft green Gigantea on the let of the aquarium, what do you think. (I read a FAQ here on ReefCentral and says that hadoni gets bigger then gigantea, 2feet versus 1.5 feet)
6- What are the most beautiful, and the best color (blue, green, white, yellow)

Thanks really :beachbum::fish2:

Looks like you have the start of a very nice setup. I really like the rock layout and the lights in particular. I don't think your tank is ready for a nem though. Typically its suggested to wait about 6 months to a year to add your nem, also making sure your params are very stable.

Also, IMO you should choose one pair of clowns and stick with it. 2 pairs of clowns will fight eventually.

I think the BTA (quadricolor) or the haddoni choice will be your best bet. (haddoni if your sand bed is deep enough). The quad is less likely to eat other fish.

Good luck

+1 to above post. Waiting for your system to stablize is the best advise for keeping an anemone. The easiest anemone IMO is the BTA, they will tolerate a new tank better than the other choices. Nice tank BTW, you are off to a great start with that set-up.

I agree!! Definately need to wait

So better wait.
And the 2 pair clowns is bad ideia? The tank is not giant but is medium size so I thought that I could fit in both. Both at the same time and the same size.
Still not recommended? I like very much those pair of clowns :p

In relation to the sand I don't have deep sand bed. The sand have only 4cm high. I don't know if it's enought for the Haddoni?

What about Stichodactyla gigantea? It is very dificult or very big?

Thanks for reply :)

I don't have any personal experience with giganteas, but from all I've read and heard, they're very difficult (not to mention poor shippers).

Both the haddoni and gigantea (as well as other sand dwelling nems) like a few inches of sand (7.5 to 12 centimeters or so) or they'll be much more likely to move around the tank.

The tank is going to make 2 months soon.
I should wait until it reach 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 months?

And within that time frame what anemone should I get from this list:
- Stichodactyla haddoni
- Stichodactyla gigantea

I can make a dune in the left section of the aquarium with 7cm high to put one of those dwelling anemones.
I heard that ocellaris don't like haddoni because they stick to it and haddoni have very small tentacles and grow bigger.
On the other side the gigantea is more difficult to care and it can be aggressive.

And the clownfish the problem is have 2 pairs from different species?
If I have 4X ocellaris or 4X ocellaris B&W I have the same problems?

Thanks for all.

Once the tank stable, S. haddoni, E. quadricolor, H. crispa, H. malu or M. doreensis are all OK anemones to keep. They are difficult but not impossible to keep. I would avoid H. magnifica and S. gigantea. Both are very difficult and extremely poor shipper.

be patient my friend. i would give it a good 6 months before investing in one. i have a 6-7" rbta in my tank for my maroon pair and it is thriving! i tried to put in a gbta at about the 2-3 month mark and it didnt take very well. so i waited another 4 months and tried again with a rbta with great results.

patience is key in this hobby. it looks like you are off on the right foot, it would be ashame to see something crash because of impatience

Agree with everyone. You should wait till it's 6 months old. I was impatient and added an RBTA at 3 months. It wondered all over my tank and never seemed quite happy. The RBTA eventually lost a battle to my Vortech. Now that my tank is 7 months old, I added a LTA. Seems to be be doing great. Stays in one place at the front of the tank and has dug his foot into the sand for hopefully a permanent home there.

Btw, your rock work and setup looks great.

6 or more months before you add a nem is whats recomended. And choose only a pair of clowns. Even if they are the same species they will fight each other and in the end you will have 2 clowns in your tank.

A good rule of thumb is if you are keeping a variety of different corals (and they are thriving) an anemone should be able to survive. Picking an anemone that suits the design of your system and will host your clowns is another matter all toghther.

Go for it and get your clowns. You said your tank has been up for 2 months now? why not start with some softie corals or lps and work your way up

I had all the rock cycling almost 1 month and then I put everything together on the display tank. And the display tank is going to make 1 month old this month, so is like 1+1 months.

I have already some corals (Euphylia, green star polyps) and I'm going to get some more LPS and SPS, but I don't want to add fishes.
I prefer to set up corals and test everything while the aquarium get old and only then I put there some fishes.

I was thinking to put the corals LPS and SPS and anenome first. Setle everything and then put the clowns after all this.
God idea?

So people here recommend Haddoni over a gigantea and only when aquarium gets older?

Clowns are very hardy and if you are already keeping GSP its safe to say you can add fish. If you are going to get SPS i would reccomend to start off with Monti caps and Digis, thoses are fairly easy sps to keep. If anything i think the nem would go last and i would personally choose a Haddoni, but both are good choices

Today I saw the most beautiful Green Gigantea i have seen on stores. But it stayed there. I resisted to it :crazy1:

This week and next week I will put more members on the cleaning team and small SPS and LPS.
After that from February to March I don't know what to do. Maybe some more members to the cleaning team... and some more LPS and SPS.
