Im in the market for a few anemones and as I been shopping I keep saying grade a and b pop up. What are the criteria for these grade. Like why is grade a, grade a?

There are no grades for anemones. Sounds like marketing BS to me. What kind of anemone are you in the market for?

BTAs seem to have the most hype surrounding them. I wouldn't trust any of it. The key is to find a reputable seller who knows the lineage of the nem you're purchasing -- this is assuming you're looking for a high-end BTA like an inferno, Colorado Sunburst, lemondrop, etc.

All other anemones aren't captive-raised so they don't have any lineage associated with them, nor do they have any sort of color or quality grading.

I havent narrowed it down yet. I have started a anemone tank that will have all BTAs and a pair clowns. I have not even heard of most of those morphs you mentioned so i guess i have more research to do lol. Thanks for the response.

Just insure that the nem has color, mouth is nice and tight and the foot is not torn.... You probably know this, but I don't want you to find out the hard way. 😆
