Heteractis magnifica is what I have. I have probably 10 as they divided a while ago, I have just upgraded my lights and some of the anemones have a bubble look in the fronds( not sure of the correct term) about half way along. They all appear happy as they are not contracted and are feeding etc.

Maybe it's not H.mag but it's a BTA :) I have never heard of a mag splitting

Could be I really don't know what it is. I have had it for two years and initially brought two for my clown fish when the one we had didnt survive. I know it is ok with oscellaris clowns ans it is quite easy to get here in Australia. I now have at least 10 because it kept dividing.

I will get a photo, I looked in the anemone sticky to try an identify it. That's where the name came from.

Magnificas do split, but it happens once every couple years. E. Quadricolor, or BTAs, split every couple months. I am interested in seeing a pic also.

here are some photos, what does it mean with the bubble in the tentacle/frond. what do you call them??(the fronds/tentacles). I started with two, i have 12 now of various sizes. They are all eating well and appear happy.

We call them tentacles, and those are definitely BTAs, or bubble tip anemones. The scientific name is Entamacea Quadricolor. And as you can guess, they get the name from the bubbles that tend to form in their tentacles. Congrats on taking such good care of them! :)
