anemone hasn't moved in the first week. lucky?

I bought a lta a week ago in hopes of pairing up some true percs and it opened up within an hour or so after acclamation. I paced it dead center of the tank on a pukani rock with a nice half a hole in it and it only moved its foot inside the hole. It's been open since and hasn't moved. BTW, one of the clowns immediately moved in, the smaller more pale one, but it died last night ( he wasn't doing well at the store, he even tried hosting a small patch of slime algae at the store) weak lfs honestly I had to take them home. Lucky with the lta maybe? So far

I'm rarely one for absolutes, but in all honesty I would NEVER buy a fish from a LFS that I knew didn't look too good. If he had some sort of bacterial or viral infection that's now floating around in your tank waiting for another host. You can't medicate the tank because the medication will kill the anemone and probably the live rock, too. It may look sad to see a sick fish in the store but sometimes it happens. It's why I won't go into a particular local store around me; all of the fish look sick and they don't seem interested in doing anything about it.

Quarantine is all I will mention. You'll be lucky if the other clown makes it two weeks. Believe me, I've done the same and paid the price with alot of expensive broodstock.

8 weeks with no fish.
You'll never be certain if you don't remove the fish and QT and medicate after any symptoms show.

At this point, you might as well leave it in and see if a decline starts.

It really depends on your setup and where you buy from. My LFS quarantines the fish for me. They have a medicated line that is invertebrate-free so I'm not concerned with it so much. When I buy outside of my LFS I usually throw them in a 20 or 29 for a month or so. The longer the better, but at some point you have to take the plunge.

It's interesting that most polls show the majority of people do not even use a quarantine tank. I saw a figure of only 5% on one web search. I've been lucky in that when I have had outbreaks it's only affected one fish, and I haven't had any trouble for around a year.

BTW, my tank is a Visio 150 with diamond and black silicone. 25 gallon sump ( actual amount of water) aquamaxx skimmer, rkl , 4 koralia, 7 bulb retro with- 2-10k aquaticlife, 2 ATI blue plus, 2 aqua blue special, and 1 ATI purple plus. I need a ge 6500k I think. System runs great.
