Okay here we go, I got my BTA about two days ago. When I put it in the tank it was brown and inflated. The first thing it did was hide under this rock and hasnt moved since. It deflated all of today and it curled up for the past couple of hours. It changed green this morning, but its mostly brown right now with a little bit of green. What is going on and is there anyway i can help it?

Thanks

It can take awhile for it to get use to your tank. The change in water, sg, PH, or many other things can make it do that. Not to say the stress of moving it. Give it sometime and it should come out and look better.

I responded to you in the other thread, I'm assuming it turned green when your actinic lights were on?

Is it a bubble tip anemone? Did you acclimate it to the lights properly? You could be giving it a good bronzing if your lights are stronger than the store/person you've gotten it from..

If this is the case, I've read you're supposed to lower the daily lighting period, and gradually raise it. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

Let us know! :bounce3:

yeah they were actinics on. I got it from Blue zoo aquatics so i dont know what lights they use probably metal halides and mine are just 4 bulb t5. It was in the cave so I didnt really think about light acclimating it - first mistake ! Ill take you advice, but should i set it for only four hours tomorrow or less?

I wouldn't worry about the lights, you won't need to worry about "sunburn" on the nem if you have T5's and the store had halides.
Have you checked your param's? The anemone will be ok for a few days under the rock, but just make sure your param's are stable.
Good luck!
