ok so i have running currently 1 72g bowfront with fuge and one 20 gal regular. I have had an anemone for about 4 months and the first couple months i had it it was fine and happy fully extending and colorful. (it lives in the 72g reef)
my reef at first had 4x65w pc lighting but a couple months back a few bulbs & 1 ballast went so my light kinda sucks now ( one of the only things i can think that would bother it) but anyways for reference i dont know what kind it is but it was light green with white or pinkish tips- i know its nothin fancy it was 24.99$

my question is my water tests on my tank are good parametrs-(havent tested cal/mag etc but alk ph is good
why is my anemone mad? is it the light? (all my corals are still fine including a lot of differnet zoas & mushrooms) also i kno the corals i listed are low light but i dunno y anemone isnt happy
when i bought it was 4 inches about and now its like .5 total! its also stark white! i recently took it out of 72g and put it in 20 gal wit t5 light

anyone?

i kno i may have left stuff out pleASE advice needed
also if it helps only predator/fish i have that might b culprit although i nvr seen anything would b 3' coral beauty angel?

Posting pics might help us make suggestions. Also listing your water parameters. Water changes are almost always helpful, as is fresh activate carbon and skimming.

in my experience if an anemone is light colored or lossing its host algae it will die if you do not supply it with the proper light and water... sounds to me like you are keeping an eye on the water now you need to consintrate on the light

Even when you had all your lights working, your lighting was marginal. Without the lights your anemone is literally starving for light. It has lost its zooxanthellae and is consuming its own tissue to stay alive. The only hope is to get more light on it. Even then, it may be too late to save it.

Really are you guys sure? Its in my 20 g under a 4 bulb t5 4x24 fixture snd it seems its still .5 at largest (when first bought it was 5"!)

I have plenty of corals happy as can be in with it ? So light should be enough??
I have no idea if you guys are right how much light do i need?
This thing was only 25$ in my lfs with softies so i figd my light was cool,

The new tank that it is in has enough light, however, the anemone can't use the light anymore because it has lost its symbiotic algae. You need to start feeding it if it will take food. Feeding it will help keep it alive until it grows its algae back. If it doesn't regrow its algae, it will probably continue to get smaller until it finally dies.
