Anemone Hiding at Night?

Just got a tank raised RBTA, and it's been hiding at night for the past two nights. He's out during the day like the 2nd picture, but then hides down between the rock & the glass at night. Is this normal?

Specs
He was temp acclimated, then drip acclimated for 2 hours.

It is still acclimating to your tank so I wouldn't worry. Your anemone looks good; and they usually shrink when the lights go off.

By hiding do you mean moving or just shrinking ? Mine does that every day when the lights go off. It comes right back up when the lights turn on.

I'm not quite sure yet if he's shrinking or hiding. I'm going to try to pay closer attention to his foot, my gut says hiding right now. Although that could be wrong, his foot may be that far down the rock.

I believe I just got him to eat two pieces of mysis. He's looking pretty happy. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1403608901.110438.jpg

Thats normal as far as my experience with them goes. Mine is thriving in my tank and the foot is attached to the underside of a rock. It stretches its foot like 6" so that the main part is out and around the rock during the day and soaking up the light. At night it shrinks its foot and body goes back under the rock. Comes out after the lights have been on for an hour and goes back once my lights start ramping down like clock work everyday.

Yep. That's what mine is doing to a T!
