Anemone Hiding????

My Anemone is hiding. I put him in the tank last Friday. He is under a shelf. Sometimes part of him comes out but not his whole body. Is there a reason for this. I have two clowns in the tank as well. They have not hosted him. When they do will he come out more or will they hide as well?

what type of anemone??? / clowns??

some anemones like to hide and acclimate when first introduced, it can take some time.

It is a rose tip and 2 false percs. Basically I checked yesterday night and he was almost dead. He had shrunk up and his tentacles where about a 1/3 inch long. I called the LPS I got him from and they said bring in water and if the water is good they would replace him cause he should not have died that quick. I brought in water. Everything was good so they replaced him. I put the new one in and when I woke up the lights are off and only his foot is hiding under a rock but not his body. Hopefully he stays that way once the lights come on. Starting over. Good thing the clowns seem more interested in this one then the last one.
