Anemone ID & Help

First things first, I am a long time reader, first time poster. I really enjoy reading all of the users' posts to this board. Now my questions:

I originally had one question...Could somebody help ID this anemone that my wife purchased for our tank last weekend?

Now, I need more help. About 45 minutes after I took the above photo, our anemone closed up. He has been open all week long with no apparent problems. Any ideas what could have happened so suddenly to cause this?

Any help is appreciated.

That is an LTA..

It is an LTA (M. doreensis).
It is very possible that it might just be redirecting water pressure in its body, so that it can burrow a little deeper into your sand bed, or simply expelling the water within its body(sort of like an internal water change).
It should bounce back in a couple hours. If it doesn't, or I does this several times a day, then you can start worrying.
