Anemone ID please - What am I?.....

This just came in to a LFS yesterday with their Indo shipment. It's stunning and was begging for me to take it. Aside from the obvious - being irresponsible and purchasing it without knowing what it exactly I was purchasing....."What is it?" There were 2 ocellaris in the aquarium with it. According to the LFS; the clowns didn't take to it. This however; may be an issue of time and familiarity. I'm uncertain.

I can't classify the anemone as: Ritteri, Sebae, Condy, nor Long Tentacle. It seems closer to a large Caribbean "Orange Ball Corallimorph" - Pseudocorynactis caribbeorum; but it's not. Enclosed are pics of the top along with a side profile of the column/foot.

The LFS asked their supplier for "weird, different, and funky" and this is what they got. :bounce1:

Any ideas or comments? Thanks in advance.

I would call it the Marilyn Monroe Lips rose anemone? lol sure looks like Marilyn Monroe lips tough :) if so it would be ultra rare :)

Thank-you. I'm currently getting information and some form of consensus that it is a form/morph of a "Ball" Anemone. (Corynactis sp) . It's looking good as a positive ID.

Wow it's pretty! Where did you score that? Any info on temperament/ personality?

Thanks. One of the LFS in Toronto had 2 of these anemones come in with there Indo shipment of corals and fish. As for temperament - so far it hasn't moved or wandered. The two ocellaris I have in the tank haven't seem to wander into it - although they currently have a Bubble Tip that they to enjoy. The anemone is very sticky and has a pretty strong sting. Not carpet like sting in intensity but still quite sticky.

Don't know what it is besides beautiful....but I always though ball nems were tiny?

I thought so as well. I've always known "Ball" anemones as: Pseudocorynactis caribbeorum - from the Caribbean; however a fellow hobbyist pointed me in the direction of: Corynactis sp which comes in larger shapes and are found in the waters of the Asia-Pacific. Perform an internet search for these terms and you'll discover the differences like I did  Thanks for the compliment.

The "lips" aren't as swollen today when I saw it before the lights came on. It was a little deflated but still in decent shape :) . Thanks for asking.

Definitely looks like a Psuedocorynactis carribeorum - what makes you say it isn't (aside from the color)?

Regardless, it's beautiful.

Essentially the size. If you perform a search for: Corynactis sp ; you'll see that the size and colour are more of a match per se. The Caribbean variety are generally smaller from what I gather and more translucent.
