I can tell you the last two pics are Epicystis crucifer (flower anemone), but I'm not completely sure of the species in the first two pics. It looks like Stichodactyla helianthus to me, but I suppose it could be S. haddoni or gigantea. Let some of the carpet anemone experts give you their two cents on it. Does it have an clownfish symbiont that's not in the pic, by chance? If it hosts clowns, then I would definitely lean toward the last two species I mentioned, as helianthus is from the Atlantic and does not host.

Okay, I'm having a senior moment and I'm not even that old;-) Searching either of the two names will most likely surface some information, but Stichodactyla is the presently used named for the genus, it formerly was Stoichactis. I'm not sure why after I typed the first one I started thinking it should be Stoichactis. I suppose I learned it that way to begin with.

Hi garygb tnx for the reply,
Well it’s have been for 24 hrs in my tank, hoping it will host my 2 new clowns, all I know of it is that its form a local beach here at Venezuela, so it’s from the Caribbean :P
I hope they host it pretty fast, there sleeping place right now it’s a bit huuu strange for what I think, you can imagine my face an felling the first night when I have the urge to go at 3am an see how there were hanging and find them Laing like this at the sand :mixed:

Tnx again now I know were to aim my search XD

S. helianthus is a notorious fish eater including clownfish. There is no clowfish in the Atlantic where this anemone is from. You should remove it and return it to the LFS.

The Crucifer is safe enough, but the Carpet is a killer. Those are some nice looking clowns, so I would remove that carpet, while they are still alive. Even fish that escape after being stung by these carpets, usually die from their wounds.

If you got it from the Caribbean, it is definitely S. helianthus. The advice of the other posters is sound, the clowns might get eaten.

Damn jejeje and it look so cool in my DT :P even my clowns were tempted to host on it :( well pulling it out and start looking at BTA for Juanchito y Panchita jejeje

Tnx all for saving them XD
