I'm pretty sure it's a condylactus (condylactis?) And the price is not bad but higher than normal.

everything here the price is higher than normal, the lady said she paid $56 from the LFS which i believe there only one SW store so everythings high.

i was just reading on the some sites that Condylactis arent really reef safe, and clowns dont usually host in them. anyone have any experience with them?

Condylactis are totally reef safe, clowns usually don't host in them but still they're nice anemones. Some have reported that their "Condys" host clowns. If you have cleaner shrimp they will host in the Condy if it IS a Condy. I think a picture of the foot would help. It could be any number of different anemones from that picture.

Oh, and BTW, Condys usually go for under $10 so I suspect there's a good chance this is some other type of anemone.

Certainly looks like a Condy. Target feed it small meaty bits. Food may entice the clown to check it out.

Condy's are pretty hardy, but not very welcoming to clowns. Clarkiis will host in them and maroons have. There must be something about the condy that clowns don't like. I've found that while they do have their favorite anemones, most clowns will settle for whatever is there. I've had perculas with BTA's and Sebaes which don't match up, but as soon as I put a Ritteri in there they left the BTA faster than my ex wife left me. (pretty fast)
