Can anyone help me with an ID? I couldn't get a shot of the underside.

I am told you can't see any spots on the underside, so they are blending in.

It is usually a sign of an anemone in distress.
However, it appears that the overall health of the anemone is good. I would guess that its stressed from shipping.

If your system is stable and has the right conditions for keeping an H.magnifica,(high light, good flow), then I would say the anemone should make a full recovery.

Well that sucks then as I don't think I'm going to be able to make the 200km trek back to the LFS anytime soon. I just assumed a gaping mouth was really bad. They had a beautiful 12 inch neon green haddoni with a gaping mouth as well that passed on too.

200km... WOW... Can they meet you 1/2 way with it?

I mean I drive 196km round trip to one of my LFS. I used to do that once - twice a week, but I have since found one that is 96km round trip.
