Anemone ID

Hello everyone, I've had this baby anemone for well over 3 months now. I originally picked it up because I thought it was a baby mertensii but I'm not so sure anymore. If someone can please ID it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Man that is a tough one, it almost looks like a Yuma Ricordia to me. Ive had some that have grown to expand up to 4-5".

Definitely not a Yuma. It's sticky and it eats silversides. I don't know of any Yumas that do that lol

This is not a Yuma ....Yuma mouth is not like that.

It is a baby Haddoni. Baby Haddoni stays on the rock and move to the sand when they get larger. The tentacles are uniformly short, there is a blunted bulb at the end of the tentacles and there are no color or veracuae on the column. All of these are characteristic of Haddoni.

Minh - any chance you could do similar summaries for other anemones - would make for a great sticky as I see lots of threads looking for nem ID's (including from me)

I should write someting but it really take time to do it, espeically time to collect all the pictures. I will work on that, with emphasis on new arrival, not optimally healthy specimens. This will help people not to get the wrong species of carpet.
