Yep, definately aiptasia. Can be fine in a fish-only system (especially if you have certain butterfly fish that like to dine on them), but in mixed fish/coral tanks, they can multiply until you have literally thousands, and they sting the heck out of nearby corals....

what do the stings feel like to us?

Typically nothing, at most a bit sticky. Their version of jellyfish stingers are typically not strong enough to penetrate human skin.
