Hi

Can I please get an ID on this:

showphoto.php

Thanks

I would say a mini carpet anemone, Stichodactyla tapetum, because of the purple mouth. But a larger picture will help, for a positive I.D.

Anemone ID

I'll try and get a larger image.

Yes it does have a Fuschia colored mouth.
It's around 1.5" around.

If I wasn't told it was an Anemone, I could swear it was some type of Mushroom.

However, when I accidentilly touched it, it stuck to my finger.
Naughty little bugger.

Most Importantly. Is it Reef Safe?

Thanks

There are a few candidates based on that single picture.

Download IRfanview or other image resizing tool and try uploading a larger picture to file size ratio.

fwiw: it does not look like S. tapetum from the picture provided.

I would lean more towards S. tapetum than E. crusifer. Crusifer's oral disk is void of tentacles other than a ring around the parameter. The pic seems to show tentacles covering most of the oral disk.
