Can someone please help me identify this anemone? I was told it is a purple tip, but I can't really find any information on that. Also, what type of clowns will host in this anemone?

I'm pretty sure its gone into its mouth, but I could be wrong.

I have it under 2 175W 14K MH

cool

keep it fed and it will brown up for you and get nice and healthy

i reccomend getting some selcon to soak the mysis in also try some silversides soaked in selcon also.

I read somewhere to give them shrimp for the grocery store, would you recommend that?

yes buy one shrimp and cut it into many peices throw them in the freezer and break off a chunk *** needed soak in some Ro water and selcon and feed to the anemone

its good to feed a variety of things not jsut one type

Alright thanks... I'll try that.

Any idea what type of clown I should get to host in the sebae? I had a perc who wouldn't take to it.

well clarkii will host it but they are rough on their anemones and are known to kill their partners

im sure somebody knows a good choice i personally have never had an H.crispa and im still new at all this

Orange skunks are a nice choice for H. crispa, but I wouldn't jump the gun just yet. Get the anemone back on its feet again before you try to add clowns. It is more common that clowns make it more difficult to nurse an anemone than helping. They steal food, push the anemone around, damage the mouth, all sorts of things that don't help much.
Let the anemone have a chance to get its color back and get some lenght on its tentacles before you introduce clowns.

So I picked up some silversides today and watched the anemone eat a whole one. Hopefully that's a good sign and I'll be able to pick up a clown for it soon.
