Anemone killed my clam..

I woke up this morning, turned on my tank lights and saw that my new 1 inch clam was missing. I thought I had it in a good spot since it ended up attaching itself to the rock that it was on. Well to my surprise it ended up moving off the rock and falling right into my anemone. It's now sitting in the back of the anemone's base, so I assume my clam is no longer alive. I had no clue that a anemone could swallow such a big thing.

I know my clam is most likely dead, but I'm now confused what will happen to my anemone? Will it end up spitting it out or it their a chance the hard shell from the clam could kill it?
