I will be buying soon a mini green carpet anemone from my LFS. I have 2 18watts t5 tubelights and 1 blue aqua coral 18 watts light.(both 6500 kelvin)

I have read they do not need much light like metal halides?

Are they sufficient for my anemone or do i need more if yes how much.

Tank Parameters :

Nitrates : 3 ppm
Phosphates : 0.5 ppm
Ph : 8.4
Alkalinity : 10dkh
Calcium : 450 ppm
Vodka Dosing from last 2 months.

Carpets actually require a lot of light. I dont know where you would have read that they dont, but they are some of the most demanding anemone's. Carpets can be kept successfully with T5's, however not with 2 18w bulbs. I had a blue gigantea under 6 54 watt T5's, each with individual reflectors. With the right set up, yes you can keep an anemone with T5's but I would recommend two more bulbs at least. And reflectors.

IMO that is not enought light. I have a green carpet anemone and it's in a 65 gallon tall tank with a 250watt halide and 2-94watt power compacts. In a 30 gallon I would think you'll need at least a 4 bulb t-5 set up. Anemone are not easy to keep and usually it isn't recommended to even put an anemone in your tank until the system has been up and running for at least a year. But, i'm interested to see what others say.
