So my anemone has not been doing good for a week now and today I noticed it completely shriveled up and has brownish slime coming out of his mouth does anyone know what it could be?

My parameters are..

Mg: 1300
Alk: 9
Ph: 8.2
Ammonia: 0
Nitrates: 0
Nitrites: 0
I'm not sure about phosphate

Alvin, read the sticky posted above at top of page by OrionN. Follow his protocol.

You can get non-prescription fish medictions. Google it.

Use CIPRO- Ciprofloxacin...250mg per 10/g. It's a synthetic broad spectrum antimicrobial agent (antibiotic). Do a 50% water change every evening and dose again daily. Usually by a day or 3 they look way better.

You will need some egg-crate....sold at Lowe's or HD and a small powerhead and heater. This will keep the nem from being injured. equipment on one side and new on the other. Walmart sells 10/g tanks for $13.

Hope this helps you bro!

Will I need light for the tank?

Any light will do. You can use one of the screw in PC light, don't need to spend the money to by a reef light for treatmetn tank. Really need a good heater.
