Anemone only tank possible?

Since my luck with sps is basically a joke and waste of money and frag life, i thought about making my large tank the lps/ softie tank and doing something different with my 29g biocube. But is it possible?

I'd like to have a few different species of anemones in the tank. Such as, curly q, flower anemones, bulb tip, sebaes, and various others that are typically non aggressive. However, some of these obviously grow large and can be agressive. ASIDE, from them growing large, what other things might i take into consideration?

Tank will have a 150w halide.

Will these guys simply not coexist and just end up moving constantly and hate eachother?

I would advise against it. In a 29-gallon, I would recommend keeping only one species. BTAs are a good choice for that size tank. The reason most people advise against mixing species is because of both physical warfare (direct contact) and allelopathy (chemical warfare). I personally do have a tank where I have RBTAs and flower anemones. Fortunately, they don't move and I also run carbon to minimize the chemical warfare, if any is occuring. But to have several species like you're proposing is a no-no with anemones--even more a no-no in a small tank like a 29.

So.... what the heck am i gunna do with my nano now? I flippin love my biocube and dont want to get rid of it. but i really want to do something different!

How about a seahorse/pipe fish tank with all the kool macro algaes?

Don't under-estimate the beauty of a soft coral tank and I don't mean to exclude the more common and inexpensive items. You don't have to have a tank full of the flavor of the month corals to have a great looking reef. GSP and red mushrooms can be very beautiful when they grow out. Zoos have unbelievable color variety.

It sounds like you don't really have the experience to keep the more demanding SPS. There's nothing wrong with that. Concentrate on what you can keep and you'll be up to the harder stuff before you know it. A BTA would be great for a softie tank and you won't be up at night wondering if it stung something.

SPS isnt necesarily a matter of experience, it is the matter that i work 4 jobs and dont have time for proper dosing and water changes. I've kept sps since 2001, but since moving and working, i just have made some poor short cuts.

I do like the idea of various macros and seahorses. Though, i am not interested in raising their food. I kept a seahorse for a while but it never accepted food, live or frozen (it was sickly to begin with) If i knew i could get a few healthy seahorses that ate prozen, then id prolly go for it..

a schrimp only tank or a mantis shrimp tank they're funny and interesting to watch
