Thoughts?

I dont mean to hijack thread...but I didnt think it was necessary to start another one.

Can you guys tell me what these are? These are 3 different things and, to me, dont look like majano or aiptasia.....Are they pests?

1) These look like button polyps (sorry bad quality). Had about 15 of these on the rock...thought they were bad and they came back.

2) These are clear with glowing tips

yes all pest will multiply like crazy sooner or later your whole tank will be full. get it out and put some pepper mint shrimp in they take care of them pretty nicely

#1- I'd say polyp also

#2- Don't know but I've got a few in my tank and they've never gotten very big or spread that much

#3-Aptaisia- Kill it

you can also use joes juice you squirt it directly into the nem and ittl take care of it and wont harm anything else. Id personally go with the peppermint as a safe rout you will never see them anyway and they are really cheap also if you are a bit more experienced and have lots of pods and a very developed system you could go with a copper band butterfly I have one and he destroys any pest anems in my tank

Ive got a few of that first one, it came with a rock. I should of just killed the whole rock then having to deal with it because they spread just like aptasia and they sting corals and polyps.. I am currently going to add more peppermint shrimp and possibly get me a cbb to get rid of the pest I have...

yea i have also taken my live rock and put it in the shower and cranking the temp all the way up they seem to fly off when you hit them with extremely hot temps
