I really want a pair of clownfish, and I am having problems. I introduced a pair of false percula, and one failed to "thrive", and died. I introduced a second fish, and again, one became weak, and died. No signs of agression between fish were observed. (The clowns took to each other right away, and even"slept" together.
Yesterday I saw my coral bandit shrimp have a go at my sleeping, remaining clown. I am wondering if this is the problem. I do not want to keep introducing fish, and killing them! (I feel awful right now).
Is the problem my lack of an anemone? I have been afraid to add one, because I know they are very hard to keep & that they can kill your fish or shrimp.
I have a well established tank at this point. (Established last Novermber, protien skimmer, chiller, lots of live rock). Do I need an anemone, or was my shrimp just fooling around? Are anemone's realy dangerous to have in your tank?
Please give me some advice. Thanks
