Anemone removal question

I have a 28 NC mixed reef. About a year and a half ago I added a couple of 2 in maxi mini carpets. Very pretty nems; however they have grown. One is about a 6 in disc and the other 4-5 in. Because of their size they have encroached on some valuable real estate and has been stinging some sps and is soon to reach a very nice 3 in watermelon chalice. I have tried all methods to remove them. I have tried prying, credit cards, ice and blowing water on them through a PH. The feet of these two are anchored deeep in somme holes of tonga rock and they just recede where you cant get at them. I want them out so here is my question. Can I use the RedSea Aiptasia-X on them. I am trying to guage both the short and long term effect on the tank, fish, corals etc and would like input on this. I guess my biggest concern would be if I did use the product would the nems poison the water killing the fish? I have heard about nem vs. PH wars and fish being affected. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice.

P.S. hobbyists need to realize that these nems grow large too.
 
Do not use a-x. Not sure if there would be ill effects, but it won't give you the results you're looking for. Maybe try metal tweezers to get into the hole. Just don't puncture the pedal disc or column.
 
May try to cover the area where they come out with another rock , so they will have to move where they expose themselves an you can get at them
 
On my last ones I tried to take off I tried to blast them with a powerhead but that didn't work but I have seen people say to take a ice cube and apply it to its foot and they will release but I never tried it. I ended up breaking the rock lol
 
ive heard of people pulling the rock out and putting it over a bucket of salt water and eventually the anemone will release and fall into the bucket

I like that idea but finding a rock that would cover them without falling might be an issue based on where they are located
 
Get some plastic sheeting and put it over it for a few days / a week to shade it. If it wants light it will have to move. Never tried this but it seems like it would work and not cause any harm to the anemone.
 
Need to make them unhappy with the current spot they're in. Move the rock they are on, adjust the powerheads so they don't like the flow in that spot, something.
 
cant move rock and powerhead idea does not work. They are both anchored deep in a hole of some Tonga so they just retract. Tried it and they didnt move. Going to try placing/leaning a rock on them today and see if that works

Lol......uh, no. That won't work. Nems aren't smart enough to always move to get more light. They will stay in the dark and die.
