I bought a ritteri anemone about a year ago and in the past 5 months it has went from the size of a softball to the size of a golf ball... i dont know why but it sits on the glass right in front of the return and just gets blown away all day.... it eats normally and my clownfish still try and host it... all my water test have been good i have t5ho 4x54w bulbs are only 7 months old... basiclly i was just wondering if this is normal for that kind of anemone

try using a product "marine snow". most soft corals tend to feed on it, but my anenome brightens up after i put some right around its feeding hole.

H. Magnifica tends to have a higher success rate in captivity under Metal Halide...perhaps it's been starving slowly for the past year and is just now starting to show signs, or perhaps there's something else at play. What are the actual numbers your tests are turning up? Perhaps someone else will see something that may be causing it.

After reading a lot about H. Magnifica I decided against it. It's survival rate in captivity is pretty low. It requires tremendous random flow and intense lighting. Most setup's I have seen are 250w-400w Metal halides.
