Anemone split after changing tanks?

Hey guys,

Today I just got a new green bubble tip anemone. Fully extended, I would say it is about 6" in diameter or so. I put it in the tank about 7 hours ago, and now at night, I look at the tank, and it is a bit more closed up than it was during the day. I look at one corner of the anemone, and it seems it may not be attached anymore. I may be mistaken, but I can't see any flesh that connects that and the big one, I'll have to look tomorrow. If it truly has split, what are the chances that the two will survive? The mother anemone is still big, but that part that seems to have split is maybe about 2 inches or so.

Help please!

I was wrong. It just looked like it, because I could not see the foot of the nem.

Moving from one tank to another can cause a bta to split due to the stress.Mine went from 3 to 6 in about a week after moving them.

yeah sometimes it happens, i got a BTA from a tank about a week or more ago and i am starting to see signs of it splitting.

Or you can do like 40% water change, it'll split. I've tried that and it works with alot of people too.
