So yeeeahh my anemone is gettin a little to big... any way to make them smaller? (may seem like a dumb question i know lol) but is there a way to split them or get them to split?

Water changes often stress them out enough to make them split. You can manually frag them. I'm ballsy when it comes to fragging, but I don't know if I'm brave enough to take a razorblade to an anemone...

from what I have read you can split them but cutting vertically through the mouth and foot. Never tried, not sure I want to, but I have read that is how to propogate.

Now the diameter will be smaller but the tentacles will still be just as long.

The BTAs (Entacmaea quadricolor) have been fragged successfully. I wouldn't try it, personally, but it might work.

Trade it in at your local fish store.Unless you are atached to it.My shark is up for sale as we speak. He is by far my favorite fish in the tank but is getting to big and knoking over my corals. So I have had to make the choice of which is more important.Shark or corals.

Easy get another tank!

back to the BTA I dont know if I would want to cut it either....let us know how it goes if you do....
you could swap with some one local for something else or a smaller one...

I agree with untamed. Though you might try taking to your LFS. They might offer you cradit for it and you could get a smaller one and I know could spend any credit without much difficulty.

I bought a large BTA and the minute I got him into my tank, he split! I'm not sure what made him do it but he did. I wouldn't feel comfortable taking a blade to one either. Good luck.
