Anemone under PC's?

Any suggestions for an anemone that will host a perc clownfish and do well with PC lighting (4x65w, 10,000k + actinics)?

I am partly interested in adding diversity and also feel sorry for the clown trying to settle on a bunch of green muschrooms.

If it will do OK on rock rather than substrate I can place it within 6 inches of the water surface (aprox 12" from the lights).

Any thoughts appreciated.

Never any guarantees on clownfish especially percs bonding to an anemone. A lot of times the LFS will have percs already bonded...that wouldn't be a bad choice. There is all kinds of info out there on what anemones seem to work best. Imo, they can be kept with pc lighting; just keep it strong.

That may be a little on the lower end for a 72 gal and a nem, 3wpg give or take and most nems will be happy with about 5wpg or more. The nem will wander wherever it wants to go, so it will be hard to place it high and keep it there. However you may get away with a BTA but I think you're pretty much limited to that.

I didn't pay attention to the tank size. Definitely will be limited with the type of anemone. I guess you could look at one that is not real light sensitive and has a shot at bonding with the fish.

I had BTA under 2x39W T5 lights in 180 litres tank.
About one year. After few months BTA had split.
So looks like it is very low demanding anemone in terms of lighting.

When I bought it size was about 5cm diameter. after one year it was more then 15cm.

Thank you for all the replies. I think I will try a BTA. It really is as much for the diversity as for the clownfish. I don't want to buy the 'right' anemone for him if it will die due to the lack of light.

Cheers. :)
