Anemone vs. Kroalia

Ok yesterday my new 14" anemone decided to start moving around, sucks because he was in the perfect spot but...well while moving later last night he got stuck in a Koralia 4, there were tentacles everywhere in my tank. I thought for sure he was a goner but I turned off the Koralia and had to take the shroud off, upon taking it off I noticed I could not get him out of the shroud so I just left it on and left him alone. After several hours he still has not got out of the shroud from the Koralia, I was wondering if I should cut him out? Would it heal or would it kill him?
Here are some disturbing pics as he is now.

Sorry about that. Just leave it be, the more you try to disturb it, the more stressed it will get. Hopefully it will make a full recovery for you.

Well I just got up and looked at him and it looks as if he is healing up pretty good. He is now up at the top of the tank on the overflow. Clowns have been with him the whole way. It is looking good and I have high hopes for him.

Question...
I currently have him in a 140g that I use a Mag18 as a return pump with 5' of head that splits into 4 return heads and for water flow I have 1 Koralia 4 and 1 Koralia 3. I was thinking of removing the Koralias all together and upgrading the Mag18 to either a Mag24 or Quietone 9000. Would this work? I know that the return is meant to do just that, just return water and not be used so much as water flow, but would it work?

I'm still a noob so take my opinion with a grain of salt and wait for the veterans to chime in but I think I have a pretty good understanding of the water flow of a tank.

The Mag 18 with 5' of head height is good for around 1200gph. The Mag 24 is good for 1850gph.

If you go this route you're only going to increase your over all flow in the tank by 650gph and this is not internal circulation. This would be ADDING 650gph to the overflow of your tank which would require your overflow to handle that amount.

The Koralia 3 is up to 950gph and the 4 is up to 1400gph. So you would be removing 2350gph and replacing it with 650gph. In the long run you're removing 1700gph from the circulation in the tank.

Although it would technically work (if your overflow can handle close to 2000gph) that's a pretty low turn over rate for a 140g tank right?

Nick is 1,000,000% correct. Also it is not just your oveflow that will have to handle all that extra flow but so will your sump itself. You might end up with a bunch of micro bubbles due to this.

If you provide good water conditions, I think there is an excellent chance your BTA will completely recover. They need to have liverock to attach to, and in particular, a cave or hole/crevice to plant their foot.

Here is a pic of the anemone as of today, looking 10 times better but still not coming all the way out.

My small GBTA was nearly blended just over a week ago. He was on the Koralia shrunk inwards a bit but hadn't been sucked in yet. He certainly wasn't happy.. his mouth was kinda sticking out. After I shut the Koralia off, he moved off and opened up in about an hour. He's perfectly healthy now. CLOSE CALL.

Glad to hear yours is recovering well. Your clowns seem to be happy!

Thanks Sugar and gw!
He is still sitting at the base of the rocks and only extending about 7" instead of 14" but he is coming along.
